13:00-17:00 - AGM and “Nuts and Bolts of Becoming an Expert Translator”: event details

  • Event: 13:00-17:00 - AGM and “Nuts and Bolts of Becoming an Expert Translator”
  • Date: 12/05/2018
  • Details:

All current and potential NWTN members are most welcome to attend the NWTN’s Annual General Meeting – an excellent opportunity to meet the committee and other NWTN members and to make your voices heard.

The AGM will be followed by Stephen Powley’s very interesting, and enjoyable, talk “Specialisation: The Nuts and Bolts of Becoming an Expert Translator”, which was very well received at last year’s ITI conference in Cardiff. Specialisation helps translators thrive in the face of global competition, pressure on prices, and the encroachment of machine translation. Discover what it takes to become an expert, join in the light-hearted “Name that Fastener” terminology quiz, and take away ideas to help you improve both your translation and your business.

Last, not least, look forward to German-style “Kaffee und Kuchen” making the invitation to our AGM an offer too good to refuse!

This event is free of charge. Please register by Friday 4 May 2018 on Eventbrite.

Whilst the NWTN welcomes non-members from other ITI regions, we ask that you join the NWTN if you would like to attend more than one of our free events. Please contact events@nwtn.org.uk for further information.
