SUMMARY:Members' Networking Day & ITI Board on Tour
DESCRIPTION:We hope you can join us for this full-day and free event in Manchester. Please click the RSVP link at the end of this message to confirm you plan to attend\, so we can order the right amount of tea\, coffee and biscuits. \n\n\n\nIt will be a mixture of discussion groups\, socialising and a ‘listening visit’ from ITI Board member Dean Evans\, as part of the Institute’s Board on Tour initiative\, seeking to engage more closely with its members. Non-ITI members are very welcome to participate in this session\, and who knows\, you may even decide you’d like to join ITI\, though there will be no pressure to do so. \n\n\n\nThe venue is once again the Friends’ Meeting House\, 6 Mount Street\, Manchester\, M2 5NS\, just behind the Central Library and a minute’s walk from St Peter’s Square Metrolink stop. \n\n\n\nThe anticipated timetable for the day will be: \n\n\n\n10am-10.30am              introductory socialising over tea\, coffee & biscuits \n\n\n\n10.30-12 noon                group discussions of: \n\n\n\n– the value and benefits of professional associations \n\n\n\n– the challenges now facing the translation and interpreting professions \n\n\n\n12 noon-1.30pm            Lunch is not provided\, and the venue does not allow us to bring our own food. However\, there are plenty of cafes and food outlets nearby\, and this is a good opportunity to network in small groups! \n\n\n\n1.30pm-3.30pm             listening session led by ITI Board member Dean Evans\, as part of \n\n\n\nITI’s Board on Tour initiative\, aiming to engage more closely with its members. \n\n\n\n3.30pm                              tea & coffee \n\n\n\n4pm-4.30pm                  final round-up/Q&A session \n\n\n\nWe aim to finish by 4.30pm\, at which point you’ll be welcome to join us for drinks in a nearby bar\, where we plan to celebrate the recent wedding of one of our longstanding members.
