Additional Information:
I am an emerging literary translator with a special interest in fiction, poetry and feminist writing. For me, literary translation is a way of connecting people with stories and ideas originally written in another language. It is my hope that making these stories and ideas available in English will have a positive impact on people’s lives.
As a sensitive person, I am able to understand each source text on a deeper level, going beyond the words on the page and accessing the thoughts and emotions behind them. Combining this with my expressive creativity, I can reproduce these thoughts and emotions in English whilst still keeping the linguistic originality of each piece.
I am a passionate and driven person and I dedicate myself fully to each project I undertake. Being creative brings me great joy, and I like to share this joy with the people around me. I am honest and hard-working, and look forward to the challenge of a fresh translation with eager anticipation!
