Additional Information:
I have been translating for just over 20 years, specialising in arts, tourism and museum work; book and academic translation; popular science; fashion and clothing. I have also translated a number of cookery books and articles in the humanities (history, philosophy, sociology, discourse analysis, politics) with ongoing regular translation for the feminist history journal Clio. My experience in tourism includes many audioguides for cities, regions and art exhibitions (at the Louvre, the Orangerie and the Bodmer Foundation, Switzerland) as well as texts for exhibition catalogues, my most recent assignment being the translation of a catalogue for an exhibition of French Impressionists in Denmark. Italian to English translation includes tourism, fashion and some children’s stories. I have also taught French at Lancaster University and French and Italian in adult education classes.
