North West Translators' Network
Join us for a Social Saturday where we’ll take a closer look at the developments in Generative AI being used within our profession, and discuss strategies as to how we can navigate this brave new world without drowning!
The event is aimed at practising translators and interpreters, whether new to the profession or seasoned professionals.
For the first hour, Angela Sigee will present:
Following a break, we’ll then facilitate a panel discussion featuring the following panellists: Michael Farrell (via Zoom), Silke Lührmann, Louise Killeen and Silvia Terribile (in-person). The discussion will be opened up to the floor, so attendees can raise their fears, hopes and everything else in between.
The event is for NWTN and ITI members and will be face-to-face only, with the chance to submit questions in advance.
One of our panellists, Michael Farrell, is currently running a survey about the use of Generative AI by professional translators. We invite you to complete his survey, whether you use AI tools or not, by following this link: https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/use-of-GenAI-by-professional-translators
Ticket sales end on Friday 8th March so don’t miss out! Priced at £5 for NWTN members, £10 for ITI members (+ Eventbrite fee).
