Windermere Wild Swim Experience

Swim with the NWTN!

Have you ever fancied trying wild swimming but not dared to try it? Or have you already joined the craze and would like to venture further afield with fellow linguists who share your passion?

Come and join us on a bespoke swim led by a fully-certified guide at Fell Foot Park on Lake Windermere, Sunday 5th September from 10:30am to 1pm.

Tickets will be limited and will be offered to NWTN members first, before being released to the wider ITI membership, and cost £50 p/p incl. a 2.5hr session, wetsuit and tow float hire, swim cap, hot drinks and cake. Novice wild swimmers welcomed as long as you can swim 400-800m in a pool (any stroke).

Booking will be essential via Eventbrite. The deadline for booking is one week prior to the event on 29th August, so don’t delay!

*Please note that you must complete the full booking process by following the link in Eventbrite which takes you directly to the Sleeker Swim booking page where full payment can be made. Your booking will not be deemed valid otherwise.*

Parking: If you indicate in advance that you are attending between 09:20 and 09:45 at the latest, you can park for £2 all day as you can be let into the gate early. If you are arriving after 09:45am, you will need to book via the National Trust system for Fell Foot which is £5 per person all day (or free for NT members but you still have to book online). Please let us know if you want to benefit from this offer when checking out.

Cancellation policy: We will require a minimum of 7 swimmers for this event to run. The main booking and payment will be handled by Sleeker Swim. In the event that the whole session is cancelled due to weather or circumstances out of our control, we will endeavour to reschedule another date. If you cannot attend that new date, you will receive a refund. If an individual is unable to attend due to personal reasons, you will receive a credit for another available Sleeker Swim course (valid for one year) or you will be able to transfer the booking to a friend.
