Working Lunch: Conferences for language professionals – tips and experiences
19 May, 2021 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Join NWTN Events Team Leader Kate Lo and colleagues for an informal chat online via Zoom. For one hour during your lunch break, we’ll host a Q&A session that includes discussion regarding tips for productivity, business progression, social media, upcoming CPD events, etc.
Following on from last week’s ITI Conference, this week we’ll be talking about language industry conferences.
Which ones, if any, have you attended? Are you a seasoned conferencer, or are you new to the world of tracks, key notes and networking over a stand-up lunch?
Are there any ones in particular that you would recommend?
What particularly valuable pieces of advice have you taken away from a conference that has served you well since?
Has conference networking led to projects or a long-term working partnership?
What about conferences outside of the language industry, such as those in our specialisms – do you attend those, and if so, are there any differences in conference culture?
