Become a member of NWTN

Membership of NWTN gives you access to a community of hundreds of professional Translators and Interpreters with experience in many areas of the translation industry.  We offer our members regular coworking opportunities, workshops and social events, often free of charge. Full members can also have their profiles in our searchable online directory to promote their services to potential clients.

Full Membership of NWTN is granted to professional translators or interpreters who meet certain requirements in terms of experience and qualifications.  Associate Membership may be granted to anyone with an interest in Translation or Interpreting and our Student Membership is granted to Students who are currently in full time education.  If you wish to become a Member of the North-West Translators’ Network please apply below.

Proof of qualifications*
Candidates for Full membership shall be required to show that they possess one of the following qualifications: Qualified Membership, Fellowship or Associate Membership of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting; or Membership, Fellowship or Associateship of the Chartered Institute of Linguists; or Membership of the Translators Association of the Society of Authors; or a post-graduate qualification in translation and/or interpreting; or a university first degree or equivalent qualification in a language other than their first language and at least one year’s full-time or equivalent period of part-time experience of translating and/or interpreting, or such other qualifications or professional experience as may be approved by the General Committee of the NWTN, provided that such qualification or experience indicates a suitable degree of competence in translation and/or interpreting (eg. 5 years’ experience).
