BOOKCHAT chapter 13

14 May @ 7:00 pm 9:00 pm

It’s finally spring, and we’re looking forward to hearing what all you bookworms have been reading during all these rainy days…

Whether you’re a regular or have never attended before, we’ll be delighted to see you on Zoom from 7.00 pm on Tuesday 14th May for Bookchat chapter 13!

We’ll start the session by talking about books featuring translators and/or interpreters as characters, or involving foreign languages:

  • Have you read any you would like to recommend?
  • How was the profession represented?
  • Would the reader be inspired to join the profession or learn foreign languages?
  • Do you know of any other books you would like to read?
  • And what about non-fiction? Any recommendations?

Desert Island Reads…
This time it’s Kerry Gilchrist’s turn to be our castaway and dive into the sea to save her most beloved books from the waves.
As those of us who have already done this well know, whittling your choices down to eight is no easy task!
How will Kerry get on? Join us on 14th May to find out!

As ever, the session will end with an opportunity to exchange book recommendations.
Please don’t forget to add your recommendations to the Bookchat Forum so people can consult them at any time!

You can also join the chat on WhatsApp with your fellow bookchatters (scan the QR code below).

This is also a great opportunity to meet the regulars if you have not attended before.

Come and tell us what kind of reader you are!
