As mentioned during last night’s Bookchat, here are the titles of some good Spanish detective fiction which I have read recently:
The Baztan Trilogy by Dolores Redondo – “El guardián invisible”, “El legado de los huesos” and “Ofrenda a la tormenta”. They are set in the Basque Country and Navarre and feature elements of Basque mythology.
The Ciudad Blanca trilogy by Eva García Sáenz de Urturi – “El silencio de la cuidad blanca”, Los Ritos del agua” and “Los señores del tiempo”.They are set in the Basque city of Vitoria.
Muchas gracias Janice,
I may even try one in Spanish 🙂
Do you know Arturo Pérez Reverte? I read The Dumas Club. Not strictly crime fiction, but detective and mystery for sure! And it’s all about books! I have another one in Spanish, El maestro de esgrima, not read yet…
